Welcome to the website of the Catholic community of Mortsel and Edegem. Everyone is welcome in our churches, regardless of color, native language, country of origin, …

In our Catholic community we speak Dutch, but we would like to welcome you in your own language as well. There are several opportunities for those who speak another language:

• You can find the prayers of Mass in French, English or Spanish in two of our churches: Heilig Kruis (‘Holy Cross’) in Heilig Kruisstraat Mortsel, or in our basilica in Hovestraat Edegem. Do you need another language? Please let us know. We’re happy to help you.
  In both churches you can also request intercession in your own language.
• Every Saturday afternoon at 4pm (16h) we pray the Rosary in our church Heilig Kruis (‘Holy Cross’) in Heilig Kruisstraat, Mortsel. We pray in every language present at that moment.

Would you like to have information about baptism, First Holy Communion, confirmation, confession, anointing of the sick, marriage or something else? You can ask them here. You will receive an answer in your own language, provided by an English-speaking volunteer.
